  • Are you looking for something organized, or a place where you could go OW swimming every day?
  • Are you looking for something organized, or a place where you could go OW swimming every day? Vacation spots but am separately interested in great open water every day spots too anywhere. I’m interested in building a database of each. Want to go on a vacation in feb or March. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  • St Croix has several places you can OW swim. Stay at the Tamarind Reef hotel and you can walk right into the water and do a lap around Green Cay right from the hotel. Or you can make a right turn and swim along the shore over to the next resort up the beach, Chenay Bay. The Tamarind also has kayaks and SUPs to borrow so if you want someone along with you, you can do that. They have a small lap pool there too. From there, you can go down the road to the Buccaneer hotel and do some OW there. Cane Bay beach is wide open and as a bonus has great snorkeling and diving down a wall. There's a nice shore route you can do from Rainbow beach in Fredrickstead as well. Look up Finfolk Caribbean Swimmers on Facebook and give them a shout for ideas. Plus they have Saturday swims as a group. You may be able to connect with one or two of them to meet you on other days.
  • I strongly second St. Croix as a swim destination and their economy can really use a boost after the hurricane. Bermuda is another option. Grotto Bay is the home of the Round the Sound swim and it's a great place to stay.
