For me -
SwimTrek vacation for my big 5-0 in the Maldives (okay, not a race, but damn, it's going to be beautiful!)
Maybe St Croix 5 miler again or Barbados 10k. Depends on if I can con my cousin into doing it too.
Oh, I hope you will come to Carbondale (Makanda), IL for the USMS Sprint Distance (1 mile) Open Water National Championship.
For those of you in Memphis, TN, Carbondale, IL is a little more than 200 miles and should not take more than 3.5 hours to drive.

Just got back from a superb Swim Trek vacation in the Maldives for my big 5-0. Lived aboard a boat for a week, swimming twice a day in crystal clear water. We always followed a reef and saw tons of sea life. No shoes, no watch, no connection to the real world. Simply amazing. I highly recommend this trip.
