Can anyone offer some suggestions for a ~30 minute ocean swim workout (idk, maybe in terms of intervals, speed work/build...whatever you might typically do while training in open water...do you do any drills/stroke work, etc?). I have searched but can only seem to find previous postings on open water training sets in the pool.
I'm going on vacation to Destin in a few weeks and want to continue swimming that week and thought it would be a nice change of pace. :)

Boring??? NEVER boring swimming in the open ocean...tides are constantly changing so no swim is exactly the same. I get a far more streneous workout in the open water than I ever do in a boring pool workout. Sometimes you get the endless pool effect because of the tide/current.
