Can anyone offer some suggestions for a ~30 minute ocean swim workout (idk, maybe in terms of intervals, speed work/build...whatever you might typically do while training in open water...do you do any drills/stroke work, etc?). I have searched but can only seem to find previous postings on open water training sets in the pool.
I'm going on vacation to Destin in a few weeks and want to continue swimming that week and thought it would be a nice change of pace. :)

If you will be swimming by yourself wear a brightly colored swim cap and tell the lifeguards your plan. Maybe someone could walk the beach while you swim to keep an eye on you.
