The folks at Pensacola Race Management said that they were going to put on a 25k swim to go along with their 5k and 10k. (www.3milebridgeswim.org) They've announced the date of their swim, and said that they were taking ideas and drawing up maps, but their website hasn't been updated since June. I know that the race is 8 months away or so, but I'm curious if anyone has heard anything. This is one of my big targets for next season.
Thanks,
Tim
Wow! If so that's an important development... it would one of only five (I think) organized annual races 25K or longer in the United States - along with Tampa Bay, MIMS, Swim Across the Sound, and the Ederle Swim (not counting USA-S Nationals, or the tri-yearly USMS Nationals).
Hope they know what they're doing!
