Over 200 swimmers participated in 2009. Applications for the 2010 BaySwim are now available. BaySwim III is limited to 300 total swimmers, and the minimum age requirement is 14. A non-profit event, all BaySwim proceeds will benefit Presque Isle State Park, the Erie County Diabetes Association, and the Reyburn Sailing School.

Might be a good idea to identify the state where this swim will take place. As a recovering New Englander, I see Presque Isle and I'm thinking Northern Maine. I'm sure the Great Lakes are much warmer that time of year than The Atlantic off PI ME. You are talking about colder than an icebox if you are talking about Presque Isle, Michigan on Lake Huron.
