In terms of local sites, I'm happy to note that the Carolina Raptor Center gets mentioned before NASCAR.
I'd love to go but I'm not sure I can get clearance from Command Central to go to a race so soon after nationals. Maybe if I sell it as a family vacation...yeah, that's the ticket...
Yeah, while you're swimming at the lake, your family can spend the day at Lowe's Motorspeedway, drinkin' beer, spittin' terbaccy, and cussin' at the drivers driving the wrong model vehicle!!!
Haven't been to Charlotte for a long time, but there used to be a very nice museum called Discovery Place or something that's great for kids. Geek will be able to address that.
