Round Christiansborg!
A 2km swim in the channels surrounding Christiansborg, the Danish parliament. Christiansborg is located right in the center of wonderful Copenhagen. Really great event!
If once is not enough, there's a 10 km event too, 5 times around the castle.
Round Christiansborg takes place for the 5th time on August 28th 2010.
In 2009 almost 1000 swimmers crossed the finishing line. Lots of noodlers, but also some of Denmarks best competitive swimmers dived in (including olympic participants). Fastest swimmer: 24 minutes. Slowest swimmer: 1h48m.
The water will be around 20 degrees Celcius in August, wetsuits are allowed and recommended in the 2km event.
In the 10 km event, wetsuits are not allowed if intending to swim for the Danish 10 km Championship - otherwise wetsuits are allowed and recommended.
