hey wanted to know who is doing the race or has ever raced this location. Was wondering what the water conditions were like. If it gets choppy or is it calm. Any info would be great!!:)
hey bobinatior are you doing the 10k championships? I know we swam the big shoulders last year.Would like to meet you cause I dont know a very many people in open water swimming. Cause it only my second year. Hey if not hope to see you at big shoulders I am doing that race this year also. We can swim fast from anthing to scarry in the water toghether lol.
The scariest things at Big Shoulders are the other swimmers!

Aurora, it's my impression there are several OW groups in Chicago. I'll try to keep an eye open for something that might work for you. Are you familiar with www.openwaterchicago.com? They do early morning swims from Ladder #1 at Oak St. Beach on weekends. You can swim anytime along the seawall at Ohio St. Beach.
