this will be my first 10k and I want to know what others have done to train, my training right now is 2 swims a week each a 3miles, then 2 a week each time I swim 7miles. I also do some weight lifting to for the arms. The other question is the race said you need to have a feeder. So how should I train the person that is doing the feedings, Do the feeding stations get crowed? then is the best time to feed, during how many miles. If any one has any info to give me I would be so happy!

I would swim alot more often than 2x/week. I depends on your goals (just make it, be competitive, etc), but I was top 3 in all my 5K (and a 4.5 mile) last summer and I was swimming 4-6000 3-5 times a week. I would suggest swimming more often and drop the yardage, then maybe do one long workout a week...something along those lines. Weights are okay if you are doing them in the proper manner (high rep, low weight), otherwise the added muscle isn't helping you. I would also through in some cardio a few times a week, be it running, biking, eliptical, whatever.
For feedings, I don't worry about it if the swim is 2:15 or less. Feedings will really depend on the format of the swim and whether its a loop with a feeding station or you have a kayaker/support boat.
