I'll be in San Diego for a few weeks and would like to swim the cove with a group. Does anyone on here know of any scheduled group swims?

I did the Night Owl Swim Friday evening. What a hoot....I wore a red strobe on my goggle strap and a glow stick necklace,..there were about 50 of us. SPOOKY,...swim out a quarter mile in the darkness.
There has been some unusual activity off the La Jolla coast,..last week a strong upwelling current at the B Buoy where a wall of sand came from the trench,..divers had to cling to rocks to be kept from being taken away. And then the earthquake Saturday moring was centered off the coast....simultaneously there were giant squid beaching themselves.
Two weeks ago I did the Scripps Pier to La Jolla Cove 2.5k swim,...I had a huge sting ray pass below me at the half way point,..looking like a star-ship,..absolutely BEAUTIFUL.
Aug 2 is the 5 mile Tour of the Buoys,...I came in third last year,..third from last! Life is grand if your not weak!
