as already said - the Atlantic Ocean - lots of places for that north and south of Boston
Walden Pond (Concord, MA) very popular fresh water spot not far from Boston
To the North - Stiles Pond (Boxford, MA) tough to find so know directions first
More North - Lake Gardner (Amerbury, MA)
Cape Anne area may have beaches and lakes. craig lewin is the masters / tri coach at north shore swim club and he knows that area really well.
