    She is going to touch land at Cape Torpentine and then continue on another 20 or so k to Halifax Nova Scotia. The first 9 miles of the crossing is loaded with Rip Tides and big purple Jelly Fish. I swam the 9 mile swim from Cape Torpentine to Borden in 1964 it was 9miles, 9 hours. Terrible tides. I don't think she is going to Halifax! That would be a little more than 20km! pics.livejournal.com/.../00062tkp.jpg If you zoom out on the GPS tracker two levels you will see Cap Pele on the map, which is where I live, with the right weather you can see the bridge from the sandbars in front of the house!
