In looking at the results of the National 10k, it seems like the times are considerably slower than what would be expected. Any info on what happened? Rough conditions? Long course? Currents?

I was JUST watching a 20 minute video of the race that I found here....good coverage of the very close mens finish and also a nice interview with the winners and Kate Ziegler. Sounds like she's sticking to the pool.....
