The IOC has just announced that the men's and women's 10k open water races have been added to the program for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
This is a great time to create open water events that are dual sanctioned with USMS and USA Swimming.

Well, it was great to hear that open water is now an olympic event. I think there is a lot of competition world wide in it.
