On advice of a friend I started tracking my year to date yardage this year as a motivator to get the pool as often as possible, and to try to hit 1 million yards for the year. I've never done this in the 35 or so years I've been swimming but so far its been working pretty good; I'm 2 weeks ahead of schedule.
anyone else keep track of their yardage through out the year?

I'm getting my butt kicked by a lot of people. 235 miles as of yesterday puts me in only 242nd place! Of our regular forumites, tjpatt might be the highest at 353 miles in 61st place. Might be missing someone since not everyone posts under their name. I think everyone higher than that is too busy swimming to post :).
Evmo is at 387.
BTW, I hit the 100-mile mark back in March (St. Patrick's Day!), and I still haven't gotten my $5 gift certificate.
