On advice of a friend I started tracking my year to date yardage this year as a motivator to get the pool as often as possible, and to try to hit 1 million yards for the year. I've never done this in the 35 or so years I've been swimming but so far its been working pretty good; I'm 2 weeks ahead of schedule.

I'm at 369500 yds (~210 mi)
Now we need to be mentally prepared to be humbled by the likes of Chris Stevenson and gdanner.
