Sinus + nose clip breathing techiques - advice please

Hello everyone,
New to to the forum. I'll thought I'll register here as it seems to be the most active.
Right, I have a question about breathing techniques whilst wearing a nose clip.
I've been swimming for quite some time now and every time I finish swimming I always get a blocked nose caused by the chlorine in the water. Also known as swimmers sinusitis. It seems this is quite common among regular swimmers. I've did some research and found one common method to prevent swimmers sinusitis is to wear a nose clip.
So I got me one of these www.torontocoin.com/NIKESwimNoseClip.jpg
So what I would like to know when wearing a nose clip. Do you breathe out of your mouth? Or out of your nose?
When I perform front crawl with a nose clip I find I can inhale and exhale out of my mouth pretty easily with no water entering my nose whilst wearing a nose clip.
However...
When I perform a *** stoke I find I have to exhale out for the nose clip because when I try to exhale through my month the bubbles shoot up to my nose. The only way to stop water entering my nose is if I exhale through my nose clip but I am not sure if this is right?
Generally speaking with and without a nose clip what is the proper technique when exhaling and inhaling? Is it inhale through mouth and exhale through nose?
Thanks for your replies.

I inhale and exhale through my mouth while wearing a nose clip.
Sorry, I forgot to add above: As for the sinusitis, you might consider a "thinking outside the box" solution by using a neti pot, or nasal wash cup. It took me a while to accept the idea, but I found the results were very positive and very quick. The cups are available at most large chain stores in the health or pharmacy section. Don't use iodized table salt! Use the plain stuff.. Hope this helps.

I wouldn't say the clips are 100% water proof in imo.
The problem I am having is when performing breaststroke when I exhale out of my mouth the water bubbles pushes the water into my nose. I think also as well when swimming laps, bobbing and ducking into the water makes the clip slide about and opens up slightly.
I also inhale and exhale through my mouth while wearing a nose clip. I have never seen one that allowed any airflow out of the nose
If you exhale with the nose clip on, it is possible to push air out. It isn't 100% proof.
I tried swimming with the clip. I found some water still gets into nose (I used Speedo clip). Another thing I found is that I get tired much quicker while swimming breaststroke perhaps the reason is that I couldn't exhale as productively as I do through my mouth and nose together.

You might try a different brand of clip. I have bought many different brands and they do vary quite a bit. Every manufacturer seems to make a traditional "synchro clip" (the wire with the flesh-colored latex coating) but they are all sized differently. The TYR clip, for example, is way bigger than the Speedo clip.
