Didn't see a thread so I thought I'd start one.
Its been fantastic on the ASCA I & II side of things . All the coaches are a wealth of knowledge and brings their own ideas. Scott has a rolling with his jokes and "Scottism's!". Dr. G had us all hanging on every word and video of stroke analysis.....who woulda know Michael Phelps isn't actually perfect in the water?! Mel is great on the business end of things. I'm SO glad I'm attending and would recommend it to everyone, regardless of whether you coach or not.
I just wish it was a week long camp and we all got to swim together, critique each other, share more war stories, and have time for some fun!!:applaud::applaud:
Wow Donna! You swam for WAC? So did I! Were you there with Arnie or Cliff or both? My first year, when I was 6, was Arnie's last (thank goodness)! Did you go to Amity?
I lived in Ct for several years in the later 70's and swam at the Hamden YMCA. Heidi, you can't possibly mean Cliff Johnson?? If so, he was my coach for a couple of years.
Marianne, small world indeed. Cliff Johnson was the WAC coach from ~1981 through lates 90s or so (and he also sold dental equip to my dad!) He's the reason I can swim IM!
Heidi, he was my favorite coach, hands down. Although my swimming "career" back then was fairly short lived, he was the reason I swam as long as I did.
It's really funny how so many of us Georgia women have roots in the tri-state area! And I can't believe the connections the rest of you have with the coaches -- that's amazing! Small world!
