Didn't see a thread so I thought I'd start one. Its been fantastic on the ASCA I & II side of things . All the coaches are a wealth of knowledge and brings their own ideas. Scott has a rolling with his jokes and "Scottism's!". Dr. G had us all hanging on every word and video of stroke analysis.....who woulda know Michael Phelps isn't actually perfect in the water?! Mel is great on the business end of things. I'm SO glad I'm attending and would recommend it to everyone, regardless of whether you coach or not. I just wish it was a week long camp and we all got to swim together, critique each other, share more war stories, and have time for some fun!!:applaud::applaud:

  • Didn't see a thread so I thought I'd start one. Ha! I was just sitting down to start a thread, "SwimFest Rocked!" I haven't been on the forums for a couple of days, so you beat me to it! Lump, it was great seeing you at SwimFest. I appreciated your coaching yesterday and today was a blast at the lake! Let me know how the tape-your-goggles-to-your-bald-head trick works for open water swims! :D And, same goes for the Vaseline trick. But, you wouldn't do that would you? :afraid: Swimcat, it was great seeing you and want2befish! A HUGE thanks go to all who made SwimFest happen so successfully. First, to Mel Goldstein and Rob Copeland for winning their bid in the first place. They deserved to win; they did an awesome job! Rob, you worked your tail off this weekend; just one more reason you deserved earning your recent award! :applaud: And, my coach, Mike Slotnick (who will never see this, because he isn't a Forumite), did a great job with his SMART swim team volunteers to assist in making yesterday's pool session run smoothly. The coaches were wonderful throughout the weekend; very enthusiastic and giving with their expertise. Cokie, if you see this, thank you so much. You were the best! :applaud: THANKS USMS!!! :chug: P.S. To 'Ganache, this :cake: is for you. (Forget the candles and put another layer or two on top!) You were a hoot today! Thanks for finding me and adding to today's fun. To all of you who missed SwimFest, I hope you have an opportunity to go in the future.
