That must be boiler plate. I'm not sure they even have a medal ceremony, and I'm pretty sure the 3rd place finishers (except for 100 and 200 Free) would not be much interested.
The finals timeline holds many secrets:

OK, maybe not "many"
or even "any"
Does anyone know if USA Swimming has made an allowance for a tie for second at the Trials? Check out this story from track and field trials. Wow. I'm guessing both runners are headed to London because of the 4X100 relay. But they still haven't decided which one will get to compete in the individual event.

This article explains why that occurred sports.espn.go.com/.../story article, thanks for that.
I know he trains like no one ever has (with the possible exception of Vendt or Phelps), but it's still shocking to see the drops he's capable of. He's always been this way, but the last two years have been particularly shocking in terms of his tapers. The taper he had for Shanghai was equally ridiculous. I suspect he's working harder than he ever has, which is saying something.
Jaeger just qualified first in the 400 free with a 3:48.0. 10 guys within 2 seconds.

USA Swimming mandates swim-offs for ties involving qualifying places on international teams. (See Josh Schneider & Cullen Jones going for the same WC spot after a tie during the qualifying procedure in 2010-11)
Apparently you can sign up for the "Live Extra" thingy over at nbcolympics.com to access the live feed. The catch is that you must currently be subscribed to a cable provider and have either MSNBC or CNBC as part of your cable package. You must sign up for it and you have to know your username and password for said cable provider.
Otherwise, I think you're SOL. Can anyone confirm or correct this? I am going to be a sad West-Coaster otherwise :badday:
I feel for Tyler Clary. He's been caught in the buzzsaw again! I hope he qualifies in something. The 200 IM would seem to be out.
2 fly or 2 back...he should make one of those. what if he gets 3rd in 4 different events?
Besides these two swimmers, John W. Dorr went a 1:03.87 for 59th out of 139. All three of these swimmers are swimming in the USMS Long Course Nationals next week.
