PRELIMS WEBCAST How far we've come - in the past, Trials prelims weren't on NBC's radar at all. I really enjoyed the webcasts of prelims in 2008. Josh Davis did solo commentary and was excellent. It seemed like he had anecdotes about people in every heat. And the awesomest part was when he excused himself for a few minutes to swim the 50 free! (Another dude took over the commentary while Josh got his sprint on.) With that said, "tape delayed coverage" should long since have taken its rightful place on the shelf next to the rotary phone and the Betamax.

not sure if this was brought up because i didn't feel like digging through this thread, but did you see this 40 year old? seeded 139 in the 100 BR. wowzers Yes, he's seeded even better in the 200 *** (65th at 2:19.07). Steve West is a current USMS member and swam at SC Nationals in Greensboro a couple months ago. Another USMS swimmer is Jeff Commings who is swimming the 100 *** and is seeded 102nd. Jeff is 38.

Steve and Jeff are also both signed up of Masters Nationals the following week. So is Kevin Doak. He is swimming the 100 Fly and 100 Back at trials and swimming in the Masters Nationals the following week. I am wondering if these are the only 3 swimmers doing both meets.
