She's awesome. As my wife commented it seems like there have been a few rather cocky athletes at these Olympics (not to say they've all been). Missy comes off like a breath of fresh air. She's one grounded individual.
She is amazing! At (barely) 17, she appears to be more mentally together, more emotionally mature, more grounded, more articulate, and more intelligent than some of her teammates who have +/- 10 years on her. Watching her win the gold after that short rest was fabulous! :applaud: :cheerleader:
Grevers and Thoman: AWESOME :applaud:
Ande, swimswam has a nice recap of splits in pdf. It takes a while to post and you might have to hunt for it. Check this out.
TG: I never watched Lost. Any tips you can give?
So my little to none warmup isn't ideal? Now you tell me! :bouncing:
Haha. Seriously. Is 1,200 warmdown after an event common? I don't think I'm warmed down more than 400 ever, except maybe after a mile.
Nothing electronic till I turn on the tv & dvr . It just kills the excitement !!
Even radio! I gave up on the first day of finals when the AP hourly news report at work announced winners. Oh well :bump:
Marlenb,
I agree with you. But the media are not swimmers. They don't know Schmitt from Adam... All they know is Phelps.
I love that Brendan Hansen got third and beat Kitajima. And Grevers and Thoman went 1 - 2. And Nathan Adrian qualified 2nd in the 100 free.
But you know, my take on it is if swimming is in the news, that is a good thing!
