I hope lochte is on the relay and I think he should be. We need to fix our relay selection process in the future but I'm not sure what the best way is.
I haven't seen anyone mention this before, but if they made Phelps and Lochte swim the 100 free finals at trails, then Lezak and Cullen Jones wouldn't have even been in the final. I Know Jones ended up with the second best time at trials but I think Lochte is going to go faster. Lochte should replace Cullen tonight and join Nathan Adrian, Grevers, and Phelps. Either way this is a tough call. We won't know if what made the right choice until after it's over. I hope they guess the best 4 correctly and we pull this off somehow.
You mean in the 400 IM?
But Lochte does so much strength training -- he flips tires, for gosh sakes! -- I just assumed he was a world-class sprinter. That's all it takes, right?
Did anyone else have a difficult time today trying to watch the live streaming feed? During the prelims (very early this morning) it crashed Firefox every time the feed switched from the swimming coverage to a commercial break. This afternoon it locked up so many times that we missed most of several of the finals.
I was having this same problem trying to watch the saved "replay." Every time it served up an advertisement the video would crash and I would have to start it over and then advance to where I had stopped. It was even more annoying than sitting through the ads would have been.
BUT I found an unexpected solution when I watched the saved video of today's evening events. Rather than starting from the beginning and watching straight through, I started with the men's 4 x 100m relay (because TV will not show it until well past this AM swimmer's bedtime) and then I jumped around from event to event. It never offered an ad, and so never crashed. Hope it works the same way after I get home from the office tomorrow.
He might want to wear it again in the medley relay. After that he might be more amenable to an offer. What do you want it for?
I don't wear used suits. However, I guess that that style is only for their paid-spokes swimmers. I can't find it online anywhere.
The experience on nbcolympics.com is much better today than it was yesterday. But thank you for pointing out this excellent alternative.
