looking for masters swim practice and a pool with a low chlorine system to workout in that is close to Disney World - staying at the boardwalk hotel on a business trip this week (Feb 13 to 17). thank you.
the best swimming work out in Orlando is at Typhoon Lagoon Surf pool
if you're going to go more than 2 days,
get a 1 year disney waterpark pass or
just use your Disney Park Hopper pass
here's your work out
when they are launching big waves in the surf pool:
1) swim out in the surf pool as far as you can then
2) tread water next to the ropes, wait for a wave, & talk with the regulars,
3) you'll hear a big FOOMP & see a MASSIVE wall of water wave rushing towards you
4) sprint away from it
5) when the wave catches you, STOP swimming, stay streamlined, & Start BODY SURFING! then
6) tumble out of the wave just as you cross the red don't-surf-past-here line
7) Waves launch every 90 seconds
you have about 70 seconds get back to the next to the rope before they launch the next wave
faster than anyone
SWIM VARIOUS STROKES
(keep repeating till the good waves stop coming
then swim in, check if your stuff is still where you left it, rest in the shade or eat
then GET BACK OUT THERE by the rope just before they switch back to the good waves
there'll be a schedule)
see if you can catch a wave, by just
+ flutter kicking or
+ dolphin kicking or
+ SWIMMING right armed or
+ Swimming left armed or
+ swimming on your back.
wear a high SPF T shirt & apply plenty of sunblock
wear goggles
Here's a few "workouts" I did there
