2010 is drawing to a close. We've all logged many hours of training time and hopefully met our goals for the year. Now is the time to start planning for next year. Many of us are always looking for ways to improve.
So... what are your New Years resolutions for 2011?
I have three:
- Get some video and post it here for critique
- Swim an entire Masters practice breathing only on my bad side
- Do a "pure" non-triathlon open water swim race
To never use "5 more minutes of sleep" as an excuse to miss practice
To finally swim in a meet
To learn butterfly
To beat my 10 year old daughter in any sort of race even if I have to cheat
I love New Year's Resolutions!
1. Log 365 miles in GTD
2. Go under 3:00.00 for 200lcm back
3. Go under 1:30.0 for 100scy ***
4. Swim either the 1650 or the 1500 - I've never done either of these in a pool.*
* I mean in a meet in a pool...I've done both in practice, obviously!
drop another 10 lbs
work the sdk more
go sub 59 in 100 back (scy)
have the courage to do either a 400IM or a 200 Fl in a meet
add another workout each week (pool or dry land)
leave work at work
2011 already.
So... what are your New Years resolutions for 2011?
- Swim an entire Masters practice breathing only on my bad side
It's not your "bad" side - it's only your "other" side! :chug:
Be aware of how you "speak" to yourself. You can create obstacles that have no need to be in place.
Funny how the only resolutions I tend to set only deal with swimming.
(1) staying healthy
(2) going to practice when I'm healthy
(both are huge challenges for me!)
