I must say the pool is beyond spectacular. The water is crystal clear, the bocks and lanes nice and wide, and the water a great temp. Pablo is stalking the deck keeping everyone in line. The meet is incredibly well organized, very impressive thus far. I will say I was very pleasantly surprised by the Speedo LZR Elite suit. 2 beat kick might be generous. With the suit I may have gone to my backup .5 beat kick.

Congrats aquageek! I must say my race felt horrible. I didn't feel good during warmup and it carried over to the race. Right from the get-go things just didn't feel right. Maybe flying in this morning wasn't a great idea! I set my alarm for 4:30, got to the airport, stopped to drop off my stuff before heading to the pool and got there when heat 7 was starting. I was in heat 11 so I was scrambling a little to get my warmup in. Enough with the excuses, though. Tomorrow is another day. I'll get some rest and see what happens.

The meet is incredibly well organized, very impressive thus far.. Except for the "killer" lifeguard stands. They now have caution tape wrapped several times around the stands so nobody (else) walks into them and breaks something (very odd way to injure yourself I would say).
