The 2010 - 11 USA Swimming Grand Prix Series is set to make seven stops across the nation.
Each event will showcase some of the top swimmers in the world as well as the next generation of swimming stars.

Yes. If it hadn't been for Phelps losing a 200 fly, that would have been the story of the night, I think.

he trains with Shanteau and that Japanese guy so training with them has helped his breaststroke. In addition, Clary put out a sweet 400 free. Who knew he could swim free?? :) He is training with a herd of distance swimmers at FAST.
I just can't figure out what happened, though... if there's one race in swimming that is Michael Phelps's signature event, it's gotta be the 200 fly.
I could see 2nd place... but FOURTH?!

Of course, he probably used the disappointment as motivation to get that pool record in the next race. He's a champ.

He trains with Ziegler who also had a nice negative split 400 free to beat Hoff.
:afraid:I heard Rowdy say that Phelps was Shaved for Indy. You could almost see this coming after seeing him hurting after the 200 fly at Indy. He admitted, he just hasn't put in the time to put together a respectable 200 fly. Must be rough to be so talented. I don't see him putting in the time in the next 90 days either.
I hope Shanghai will be a good wake up call for Phelps...Like many others, I just hate to see him go down like that in his signature event. Sure hope he can get his act together..
:afraid:Wow, Phelps is sure lucky Oussama is not swimming the 200 FR at Michigan. He sure got handled on that last 50 of the 200IM. Very sad to see him in this condition 90 days out from travel to Shanghai..:badday:
