For those of you planning on going to Long Beach, a buddy just told me that Ed Moses has entered the meet. Alan, I figure you especially will enjoy watching his races. I love that meet, and Long Beach, and will be there for the 4th time.

Megan Jendrick is entered in the Oak Harbor meet. Don't know what events she's entered in, but I expect we'll see some national and world records fall.

I just went to a clinic she gave. She is really a nice person and passionate about swimming, not to mention REALLY FAST.

I wonder if she's swimming the 200 *** next weekend. I might be able to get a draft when she laps me at the 150!
I was at the VA Beach meet yesterday. Great attendance, a world record set and I didn't hear anyone complain about the lack of a tech suit.
105 entrants last year, 103 this year. (And it was 2 WRs, not one, both relays.)
I just hope NE/CZ Champs is well attended. I had a message on FB that only 10 Great Bay Masters swimmers (hosting team) had entered.
Last year in December, there were 660+ entered in NE Champs in Boston and almost 350 entered in CZ Champs at Flushing Meadow. I would be surprised if NE/CZ Champs combined this year is 660, much less 1000. But it would be nice if my surmise was incorrect.
I did more meets this year than I've done since 2003, and I'll probably do even more next year.
Truthfully, it has been years (5+) that nearly every local meet is on the verge of being canceled due to low enrollment. On a regular basis I receive emails urging me to enter a meet. I think there are just too many meets competing for too few swimmers.
So here's a question for the group that several of us were discussing this morning. What's the point in doing a SCM meet if you never swim SCM? I look at a meet as a way to gauge progress, improvements, and decide if/how to alter my training. We train SCY for about 8-9 months and LCM for the remainder of the year. If I'm not ever training SCM, I don't know how to prepare nor what to do with any results.
