Um, Patrick... let's get back to the boring. The suits are done.
I was at the VA Beach meet yesterday. Great attendance, a world record set and I didn't hear anyone complain about the lack of a tech suit. I personally set 4 personal best times in my good ole' knee length suit.
I just signed up for the Oak Harbor meet on the 21st. Same events as last year: 50-100-200 fly, 100-400 IM. Looks like I will have some good competition: www.swimphone.com/.../swimmers.cfm Hey Knelson, are you going to be at this meet?
Yeah, I agree. Under 2:50 would be a good time for me, but I think it's definitely possible.
You go Kirk :cheerleader:.2:50 is a very good time in the post-tech suit era.I have family stuff that weekend or I'd want to go.All my SCM eggs are in the SPMA basket so I am focusing on staying well(and hopefully no family emergencies.)By the way TG,I'm signed up for the 200 fly at SPMA,but I am hoping for a good excuse to skip it(that is a painful race even butterfrog:afraid:.)

Just think how easy it is compared to long course. Push off the wall, do some SDK's, and you're almost at the other end already!:banana::banana::banana:
Yes, I'm going. My plan is to swim the 200, 400 and 1500 free and the 200 ***, so looks like we won't be going head-to-head in anything. Normally I'd swim at least one IM event, but I felt like trying something new and decided on the 200 ***!
I believe that swimming the 200 *** will work to your advantage, long-term, especially for the 400IM, so perhaps you can think of it as putting in work for your IM's.
That was my thought process exactly, Jim. I just don't swim *** in practice outside of IM unless I have some reason to. Entering a 200 *** at a meet gives me a reason.

I'll be your lap counter for the 200 *** :)
You should have a decent chance of getting a top ten. If you can get under 2:50, and I think you can, you should have a good shot.

For those of you planning on going to Long Beach, a buddy just told me that Ed Moses has entered the meet. Cool. I was wondering if he'd show up in Mesa. Someone needs to make sure he gets to Mesa, as well.
