If my times on a set of 100s on 1:30 is 1:18 consistently, what should I expect to actually swim in a 1650? My best time thus far is a 21:56. Thanks!

  • I agree with Ande. Without knowing how hard you're pushing your 100 repeats it's difficult to know. You should probably be able to hold a faster pace in a race, but hard to say how much. If I had to guess I think you could hold a 1:15-1:18 pace in a race, so that means 20:37-21:27. I did the math and if you can consistently swim 1:18 per 100, you would do a 21:45 for a 1650 21:27 actually. 78*16.5 = 1287 seconds = 21.45 minutes = 21:27.
