I think it would be fun to pick a day and declare it USMS Old-School Equipment Practice Day.
Wear your old drag suits (no fewer than 2!) and pantyhose and dig out your old latex caps. Strap on your old Swedes or single-strap bug-eyed Speedo goggles and bring whatever else you've still got lying around.
Then we'll all post pictures on the forums, discuss what it was like to swim with the old gear and tell stories about our most beloved pieces of old equipment.
We'll all have a good laugh and the next day, when we go back to Endurance suits, Vanquishers and silicone caps, we'll be extra appreciative of the technological progress of the last 20+ years.

I don't understand the hostility
Perhaps you have missed a lot of Geek's posts to me, as well as Wookiee's posts, regarding my choice of font, color, and Smilies. They have been hostile towards me, so you might want to ask them why they have been so relentless about something so ridiculously trivial.
I have been good natured about it, I think. For the most part, I feel I have taken the high road in defending my right as a Forumite to use whatever I wish, as long as the choices are available to me. And, I have (for the most part), tried to take the whole ridiculous topic with humor. Like George, I was having fun, this time around. Anybody who chimes in on my behalf gets my encouragement! :D
The bottom line, Stud, is that Geek and Wookiee started this "hostility" in the first place, so they really should be the ones for you to direct that question to...
