Yesterday I sprained the part between my wrist and hand on the thumb side during either freestyle pull or backstroke pull. I was not aware when it happened, but after one lap, I suddenly felt the pain and the hand couldn't make a pull any more (very painful and weak). It hurts a lot and hasn't got any better. The hand is incapable of doing anything in certain directions, even washing hands. I don't know how this could happen :( A pull couldn't have broken a bone, could it? Has this happened to anyone else?

Probably it's more about wrong position than about the power :) Now I believe it happened during a backstroke pull because it hurts when the hand makes outward turn. Perhaps I over-flexed my hand.
