Yesterday I sprained the part between my wrist and hand on the thumb side during either freestyle pull or backstroke pull. I was not aware when it happened, but after one lap, I suddenly felt the pain and the hand couldn't make a pull any more (very painful and weak). It hurts a lot and hasn't got any better. The hand is incapable of doing anything in certain directions, even washing hands. I don't know how this could happen :( A pull couldn't have broken a bone, could it? Has this happened to anyone else?

Thanks, that is possible, as I did carry heavy stuffs not long before going swimming. That may have caused minor injury already, but swimming definitely triggered it. Looks like one has to be careful all the time. As for feeling better, thanks (although it's not any better at all as of now) :)
