What I loved about the Puerto Rico LCM Championships

I can't say enough about the positive energy surrounding this event from start to finish. In spite of challenging logistics, the organizers pulled this off with amazing success! I have had a blast, and want to thank everyone involved. I also want to go on record to state that the warm ups were exceedingly civilized and if anyone had to issue "I'm sorrries", it was me. What a magnificent experience!

  • Mofongo de Yuca was probably the best thing I had. I also had some really good "tamales" made from plantains and filled with pork. Tell your neighbors that I sampled the above food at a restaurant called "El Jibarito" in Old San Juan (web site: http://eljibaritopr.com/). I'll bet they're familiar with it. Thanks Anna. I will let them know. I bet they will think of the restaurant fondly. His mom still lives there, near the other big pool on the island.
