I can't say enough about the positive energy surrounding this event from start to finish. In spite of challenging logistics, the organizers pulled this off with amazing success! I have had a blast, and want to thank everyone involved. I also want to go on record to state that the warm ups were exceedingly civilized and if anyone had to issue "I'm sorrries", it was me. What a magnificent experience!

For those of you who went and ate the food, my neighbors who lived in and are from Puerto Rico want to know what you were served as far as food and what you all thought of it. They were mentioning different foods they thought might have been served and drooling as they were talking. Yes, I think they are a little home sick.
Mofongo de Yuca was probably the best thing I had. I also had some really good "tamales" made from plantains and filled with pork.
Tell your neighbors that I sampled the above food at a restaurant called "El Jibarito" in Old San Juan (web site: http://eljibaritopr.com/). I'll bet they're familiar with it.
