  • I could be wrong but I don't think that is what the research showed. I think the research showed that even if you exercise regularly you will be at increased risk due to excessive sitting relative to someone who exercises regularly and doesn't sit a lot. Someone who sits excessively and exercises will still benefit relative to someone who sits excessively and doesn't exercise regularly. Lindsay, yes, which is why I ended my sentence suggesting we sedentary office sitters (8 hrs/day/week) may not be getting the full benefit that someone in an "active job" like a warehouse worker might get.
