Wow! It really adds up

Just started a FLOG, to keep track of my training for an open water event (Cascade Lakes Swim Series, Elk Lake Oregon July 30-Aug 1). I didn't realize how much I really do swim til I saw it accumulate on my fitness log. If you are like me and need to have these goals to motivate you, try starting your FLOG and watch the miles add up!

  • We have a couple people on our team that live and die by the FLOG. One of my favorite rituals is updating it over my morning coffee. I'm currently trying to get out from behind, my goal is 365 miles for the year, and I didn't do much swimming this summer with the pool being closed... 5 miles behind! But the team starts again on Monday, so I see that goal in sight. We have this one thing we like to say at the pool when we start to do extra yards just for the sake of it, and it's called "padding the FLOG."
