I missed one of the turns in my 200 free but it was that I was too far from the bulkhead. It is hard to see as it blends in too much with the bottom of the pool.
They changed the pool bottom, as you all have noticed, to a raised section that is a nice white color. It does blend in really well with the bulkhead.

This was a BADASS swim! The place erupted too when he finished! :applaud::bow::bow::bow:
I agree with Chris on the warmup/warm down pool. Im happy to get outta there without getting injured! Friday I made mistake of laying around on hard pool deck for 4 hrs in between events, today I went outside and layed in grass under shade tree, much better and I could stretch out without getting trampled.
100% Agreed. Trying to get in the competition pool after the 500 was like the start of an OW event or Triathlon! They should have designated warmup/cooldown lanes specific for the diving well as well. Some can barely catch their breathe and others are doing build work.....not a good mix.
The Even end of the pool was having issues today (timing/computer) so today was a LONG day.
But overall, the meet has been great. I really appreciate everything everyone is doing!
Rich is having an amazing meet. Nothing new there!
Hey Lump, I see you scratched the 500 free. Did you swim anything today?
I was a no show as my wife and I both went down HARD with whatever our kids had. I finished a great 200 free and then just started feeling really ill. Slept 13 hours and didn't come back to the meet until after the 500.
Swam 2 relays (8th & 4th) and the 100 Free (49.90) with nothing in my tank. Hardly ate anything since yesterday. I finish tomorrow with just a relay and the 100 back (off event).

Those guys swam great but I will nevertheless seamlessly segue into a discussion about pianos. Remember the scale described in the piano section of the Swim Slang thread?
calculating the difference between 100 splits in a 200 event helps identify pianos even if you weren't there.
3 or less: could have gone out faster
4-5: good
6-7: try to start out a bit slower next time
8-9: that had to hurt
10+: piano
20+: srsly... what were you thinking
So I calculated the split differences for all 197 of the 200 flys in Atlanta that had proper splits. First finding: we need a new category.
40+: i don't know what to call this

Lump, I hope you feel better today and we can meet up. I'll be there for the 500 and the relay and then I'm done
