I would like to propose the First Annual Forum 50.
The idea originated here: Eat or not before swimming in Early Morning? - Page 4 - U.S. Masters Swimming Discussion Forums
Here are the rules:
Swim an all out 50 for time
Post your time here
That's it. Swim an off 50, swim your best, swim a 50 IM, who cares. It is like a postal swim, except not official for anything, and takes a lot less time.
It's only a 50!
The next time I have access to starting blocks is Friday, so I will do my swim Friday or Monday.
If you got'em, use 'em. (Blocks)
Good luck.

Swam a 50 free from the blocks today, 27 high using the wall clock and self starting at the end of practice.
Coach was busy video taping people, and the blocks are at the wrong end to easy have someone resting time me.
One person made fun of me for "showing off going off the blocks" but he was just joking. He just had hip surgery, so he probably wished he had the option to go off the blocks with me.
Some ridiculously good advice for sprint training was posted recently: U.S. Masters Swimming Discussion Forums - View Single Post - Grinding through a plateau in sprints...
