I'm just thrilled to be in the top 50! My highest is #17 in the 800 free, which was probably my crappest, slowest swim of the meet where I did all these SCM times. After being off for 15 years and only back in the water for 18 months, training alone....I feel on top of the world!

I see Fortress is still #1 in the 50 ***. Go Fortress! Uh... repel all invaders? She couldn't have done it without me setting the bar for her...:D LOL Best I managed was a 33rd...
  • One of these :applaud: for my :oldman:! Geesh, Patrick, you are really becoming the male KPN with all your Top ten rankings. You got 10 of them without swimming the flys or the distance frees.. Plus, 16 top tens within 2 family members. 16 is good with 4 or 5 family members.
  • Speaking of families...how about :applaud: for Julie Roddin, taking #1 in the 200 back by 6 seconds! www.usms.org/.../toptenlist.php Nice to see SOMEONE in that household can race! You know, first there was the plunge, now this...no wonder Jeff is kicking up his training a notch. :)
  • I'm really impressed by the guy who did the 100 IM in the 35 -39 age group in 30 seconds jeff never had a chance 100 Individual Medley SCM Men 35-39 (2009) # Name Age Club LMSC Time 1 Steven Urish 39 NEM New England 30.14 2 Jeff P Commings 35 ARIZ Arizona 56.98 3 Derek L Guffey 35 MVN Southern Pacific 58.18 4 Tyler J Blessing 37 TXLA South Texas 58.57
  • I'm really impressed by the guy who did the 100 IM in the 35 -39 age group in 30 seconds FYI: I'm sure people wonder how in the world Mary Beth Windrath (the person who spends so much time putting all this together) could miss such an obvious mistake. The answer is, she doesn't usually miss them at all. But she doesn't remove such "impossible" times on the first iteration because possibly that person has a legit time from that swim (eg from backup timers) that belongs in the TT, so she tells the LMSC where the swim occurred to investigate. If she doesn't hear back from them, she will remove that swim (and use the 2nd-best time of that swimmer, of course). So Jeff will have his #1 swim. :) But please: if you do see other such errors, email Mary Beth (or PM me) and point it out. That's why the prelim TT are posted, to catch such errors with lots of eyes.
  • I see Fortress is still #1 in the 50 ***. Go Fortress! Uh... repel all invaders? Thanks That Guy. Its a a shocker. No idea how what happened really. Maybe it was the lesson with Allen! More likely, though, it was my "cheatin'" suit. I think it helps disproportionately in the evilstroke. So my evil will be retired soon. Sorry about that #1 slipping away, but #3 is really good! Congrats to everyone else who made it, including Lazy Wife, who also gives good advice. :)
  • Everyone is familiar with Patrick Brundage's fast swimming, but I'd like to publicly brag on his father (and my teammate) Warner for six preliminary Top Ten times in the 65-69 age group. :woot: One of these :applaud: for my :oldman:!
