Anybody going to the SCY meet in Olympia this weekend? If I recall correctly, I entered the 100-200 free, 50-100 ***, and 200 IM, so I'm easy pickings for any gridgers out there. I might need a running start for the 50 ***...:bed:
A good time was had by all in Olympia today. I haven't looked it up but Megan probably set 5 national records in W25-29: 27 in the 50 ***, 59 in the 100, 2:09 in the 200, 54 in the 100 IM, 1:59 in the 200 IM, and signed dozens of autographs. The 200 IM was the last individual event of the day. When I saw her 2:05 seed time I thought "maybe I'll be near her feet after the backstroke before she obliterates me on the breaststroke" but after watching her post that 54 in the 100, I revised my thinking to "I suppose we'll be relatively even until the dive...." For the 200 IM gridge, I posted a 2:16.26 in my 7th swim of the day. Along with my 5 events, I joined two Unattached relays that were organized on the fly. Upon request, I swam the 50 *** in a medley relay. That has never happened before. I mean, someone actually requesting that I race breaststroke. Nathan swam fast too. I think he went 34 in the 50 ***, 1:10 in the 100 IM, and 27 in the 50 free. On the heat sheet, he was correctly listed as M25 and suddenly had seed times, which he smashed. I applaud your stealthy gridgework, sir!
