  • Could someone provide a recap of Rob's comments? My computer doesn't have sound on it. He talked about USMS mission of bringing in swimmers, and made the most compelling case I've heard so far for the idea that the coverage and speed boost are good things for masters swimmers and increasing our ranks. Frankly, I always thought that the modesty pitch was a pretty weak argument, but Rob did a good job with it. He revealed himself to be a tech suit supoprter for all levels, including international elites, and opined that NBC's coverage of the Worlds and Duel in the Pool were in part due to the suit issue and the promise of records being broken. He finished by promoting the Atlanta meet, mentioning online registration and encouraging people to sign up early to swim in an Olympic-caliber pool in the fastest suits available. In general, he appeared intelligent, thoughtful, and well-spoken. I thought USMS was very well represented.
