Soon the USMS rules committee will issue their ruling.
SCM & LCM seems to be a done deal, the 2010 seasons started on Jan 1, 2010 & the rule began on Jan 1, 2010.
SCY is an American thing. The 2009 - 2010 SCY season began on June 1st 2009 and ends on May 31st 2010.
Will the new suit rules take effect immediately or at the end of this season?
I've heard rumours we might be able to wear full body suits at 2010 SCY Nats.
Look forward to finding out what the USMS ruling will be for SCY.
1/15/10 FINA BUREAU CONSIDERS SWIMWEAR RULES FOR MASTERS
The FINA Bureau has considered Masters swimwear rules. The USMS Rules Committee will learn the results shortly and then will immediately reconsider the USMS swimwear rules in cooperation with the USMS Executive Committee. All USMS members will be notified of any changes to USMS swimwear rules and the effective date. Regardless of any changes to the USMS swimwear rules, the June 1, 2009 USMS swimwear interpretations will apply for the duration of the One Hour Postal Swim being conducted in January 2010.

Did you see that FINIS reduced the HydroSpeed suits to $20 a suit? I doubt Speedo or Blueseventy will reduce their tech suits that much! I have a fullbody HydroSpeed that I LOVE!!! Just a warning the sizes are weird. I would get the same size or old 1 size smaller than a practice suit (for Speedo's my FS-Pro is 2 sizes smaller than my practice suit). I already got an AMP for SCY Nationals and can't wait to use it!!!

Hey now that I have your attention, did you ever find out why none of the swims from the 2009 NC State Games held June 26 and 27 that we both attended never showed up for Top 10?
What do you mean by never showed up in the Top 10? The 2009-10 SCY season began on 6/1/09 and ends on 5/31/10. So your meet on June 26 and 27th (2009) was part of the current season and the Top Ten won't come out until this summer.
And I just got my Finis suit in the mail. It looks all "Mission Impossible". This buying suits at a bargain price is almost as fun as wearing them!

These $400-500 tech suits are now cheaper than ladies practice suits!
Which one did you get?
AMPhibian long john for $60. Got it in 2 days too. I'm going to try it out at our meet this weekend. I'm interested to see how it compares to the B70.
I'll have to go by feel, b/c my times should be significantly faster than last year at this time as I'm in far better shape. :D Plus, I didn't wear a B70 to this meet last year.
