FINA issued Ruled,www.usms.org/.../showpost.php
Soon the USMS rules committee will issue their ruling.
SCM & LCM seems to be a done deal, the 2010 seasons started on Jan 1, 2010 & the rule began on Jan 1, 2010.
SCY is an American thing. The 2009 - 2010 SCY season began on June 1st 2009 and ends on May 31st 2010.
Will the new suit rules take effect immediately or at the end of this season?
I've heard rumours we might be able to wear full body suits at 2010 SCY Nats.
Look forward to finding out what the USMS ruling will be for SCY.
1/15/10 FINA BUREAU CONSIDERS SWIMWEAR RULES FOR MASTERS
The FINA Bureau has considered Masters swimwear rules. The USMS Rules Committee will learn the results shortly and then will immediately reconsider the USMS swimwear rules in cooperation with the USMS Executive Committee. All USMS members will be notified of any changes to USMS swimwear rules and the effective date. Regardless of any changes to the USMS swimwear rules, the June 1, 2009 USMS swimwear interpretations will apply for the duration of the One Hour Postal Swim being conducted in January 2010.

And that last statement is very ninny-ish.
I yam what I yam.
Please, I prefer Mr. Ninny.
Race to your hearts content. The rule just means that if you cheat, your times won't count. Pretty fair to me.
Wait, I must repeat, your times won't count. Whew, that felt good.
And if you follow the rules and don't cheat, your times still may not count. Sounds even better to me.
Nonsense. I just prefer and enjoy racing in my tech suit, which I will have worn for almost every meet for two years. I'm a speed junkie; it's more fun; it's my racing gear. (Who wants to wear their practice gear on race day?) I like the only gear we swimmers got. Sorry you don't. You should be happier now.
I don't plan on training any harder, as noted above.

Fort, you will have to forgive stillwater. When his diaper hasn't been changed in several days, he gets cranky.
I wondered the same thing as you on that. I have no answer. It clearly wasn't a USAS or USMS run meet, just sanctioned. Either way, it does kind of stink. I saw the results somewhere. If you have those, could you submit them yourself because the crew that ran that meet sure won't.
Interestingly, my times were submitted within 48 hours of meet end to the USA-S swims database. (I've noted through the years that I never have a problem with times counting for USA-S). I already talked to Mary Beth of Top 10 weeks ago about the missing masters times for this meet. She basically said I'm SOL due to the deadline having passed. So, no need to submit anything now.
I posted the results of the meet earlier on in the thread. At least I've got videos of some of my swims. :cheerleader:
How come you weren't at St. Nick's last month?
Oops, just saw this. Wasn't sure the times would count. Turns out my event would not have counted for Top 10 - 100 Fly. Whew. Close call there. Would have been pretty upset to have tapered for that meet, shoot for the WR and then have it not count anyway. I saw the 100 Fly was almost last in the event line up and that was a bit of a deterrent in and of itself.
There is always SOMETHING with that meet. But it was good for me. Hope you are well.
