3 km swim
I really wanted to go. Looked at the cost for the 6 of us and it was prohibitive, even with cheap lodging. The airfare was a killer. We were looking at about $15,000 for 10 days. A little steep for a swim meet. Good luck to everyone.
:cheerleader:
I'm thinking seriously of going -- followed by a family vacation -- but I'm not really happy with that outdoor pool being only 3.6 ft (1.1m) deep at one end.
Come on Patrick, can't you have business in the UK around that time and just pop over to Sweden for a couple days?
Wait a minute. Now that I think about it we'll be in the same age group. Maybe it's best you don't go!
Would that I could, but I'll almost for sure be in NoCal for Far Western age group champs (July 28th to Aug 1st) and then taking family vacation in that area. That vacation will then blow my training for Puerto Rico. So, mid-July will be my LCM taper ... unless, of course, I skip Atlanta in favor of Canadian LCM Masters champs in Nanaimo in May (a serious consideration, actually).
Patrick, is Far Westerns at Cowell in Concord?
I grew up swimming at that pool (Concord Pleasant Hill ST). Love that pool!
How old is your daughter and what's she swimming?
Good luck to her.
Be sure to come work out with us when you're here. Our pool, in WC, is 10 minutes from Cowell. Five workouts a day, bet you could make some :D

I'm giving serious consideration to the Nanaimo meet, too.
Which territory is Nanaimo in?
(I have to ask since I think that Tempe is in So. Cal).
I could look it up but I'd rather ask :D
What dates is this meet?

I am considering this meet as well.
I'd love to go to Sweden, but 1) the price,2) the fact that one pool is shallow, and 3)the men and women swim at different pools in different parts of town making having both myself and my wife swim and watch each other problematic.
Patrick-
Why don't you go to Pacific's LCM championships in July (9-11, I think). It's always the weekend of my birthday. They're in Santa Cruz at UCSC again. Newly resurfaced pool, the Boardwalk, hmmm, smells like another vacation to N. California :D
Then you could still swim in Atlanta.
