Anyone ever try this? And maybe it's a waste of time but I tried this on Saturday and I at least felt like I was getting a better bite with my feet on my dolphin kick and better 'wave' motion of both kicks.
With a board of course - alternate 2 kicks *** with 2 kicks fly, repeat. Managed to kick 50s this way in about 53 seconds (scm) which for me is actually quite speedy.
Not sure what that means or even if it's a good thing doing it that way but it felt good. But it also could be the worst idea ever.
I do a drill that is 2 strokes fly, 2 strokes ***. it helps to reinforce how close the strokes are. I've not tried just the kicks, but think it might serve the same purpose. The drill is Dennis Baker's, not one I cooked up on my own, but it's proven to be a good one for me.
