Is it just me or do world records in short course meters lack the prestige of world records in long course? And are the 50's just not as big a deal as the longer races? Maybe I'm just showing my age?
Have not swum a SCM meet yet this season. And have only trained SC yards since Indy.
Swear... I can not feel the difference between SCY and SCM when I'm racing!
I couldn't agree more. An extra stroke or so, but they're not fundamentally different courses like SCM/SCY vs. LCM.
However, I kind of like the 3 season approach to masters that seems to be evolving of SCM fall, SCY spring and LCM summer ... especially since I keep mostly skipping that summer season that requires you to get in truly good shape and not just rely upon those nice walls and long pushoffs.
