Is it just me or do world records in short course meters lack the prestige of world records in long course? And are the 50's just not as big a deal as the longer races? Maybe I'm just showing my age?

Seriously Mike...
If you are yawning over internationally recognized world records, then what do you think the entire world is doing when the United States is swimming short course yards all spring?
No one has a clue what "yards times" are except American swimmers. It really is a comedy...
Even worse is that we can't even have a decent conversation about holding a short course meters national championships because we do not have enough SCM pools in the USA to accomodate one!
I am incredibly excited and proud of my friends Ande Rasmussen, Richard Burns, Michael Mann, and Laura Val (to name a few) who all broke internationally recognized SCM World Records this weekend.
And I happen to know that many masters swimmers around the world are taking notice of these American swimmer's accomplishments.
SCY are way more fun and exciting than LCM...
