New Suit rules

Starting in Jan. suits going down to the ankles will be illegal, correct? If so, would it be acceptable to take my ankle length fastskin to the tailor to get it shortened to my knee so it would once again be legal?

I had a FS 1 that I had cut off at the knees.It worked fine.I am not sure if that counts as modified,any of our rules Gurus want to give an opinion?
